Q: The idea of drilling holes in my car is intimidating. I’ve never done that before.
A: Drilling holes through sheet metal is surprisingly simple—not much different than drilling through wood. We asked our customers how they felt about the process, and they all responded that it was much easier than they thought it would be. The key is to drill the pilot holes (starting holes) in the correct location. To facilitate this, we designed the part so that it can be used as a template—there are actually guide holes in the part itself.

Q: My car already has all the standard bolt on chassis parts. I’ve also installed a sports suspension. Can FRAME LOCKS still make a difference?
A: Absolutely. We’ve gone so far as to install FRAME LOCKS for drivers that have had their cars outfitted for autocrossing. Even with them, the improvement was significant.

Q: FRAME LOCKS are so small, I can’t imagine them making that much of a difference.
A: Achieving a high strength to weight ratio is one of the hallmarks of a well-engineered design, whether it’s on a jet fighter, a sport motorcycle or your Honda. Sometimes even a small part can be highly effective.

Q: How come no one else thought of this before?
A: Frankly, we believe that we understand chassis design better than anyone else. We also believe that the better you understand something, the more likely you are to find an obvious way to improve it. The best inventions always seem that way, after they’re invented.

Q: Are there any other products in the works?
A: Absolutely. FRAME LOCKS are our premier product, and we’re very proud of all the hard work it’s taken to bring them to market, but we don’t plan on stopping there. In the future, you can look forward to many more innovative designs from the Körbach team.
